TRAINING AND TRAVEL WITH COMPANION DOGS

When your dog is obedience trained, the world opens up for him. Taking a trip with your dog is not problematic if he is trained in obedience. How about a carriage ride around Pioneer Square in Seattle with Emerald Country Carriages and Hammer the Horse.
The whippets from A Walk With Whippets are all holders of the Canadian Kennel Club Canine Good Neighbour certificate and are field lure coursers. They all compete in CKC obedience trials and are public relations tour dogs for the exciting new RBARK.
When you are confident there will be no trouble, and if there ever is, you're sure your dog will respond to your commands immediately and reliably, you can travel wherever dogs are allowed. Some places really dig dogs and the money they bring. Sure, every now and then there is a wave of anti dog sentiment from people who believe they have allergies (it's probably caused from their own ghastly perfume or underarm deodorant and not dogs) so they pester the airlines and everyone else who will listen to ban dogs here and there, but science and medicine are against them. The dogs are winning. Many first class tourist destinations are now advertising that they are dog friendly (not so much for cats, but I see that changing too). The whippet team from A Walk With Whippets had a blast this summer on promotional tour in the USA (except for the border crossing! YIKES! DUDES! WE ARE JUST DOGS!)...I digress...the dog friendly hotels were 4 and 5 star and were just what The Dog Nana needed to boost on through to Autumn.
